Quality Engineer (Manual)

As a quality engineer, you'll be an important part of every aspect of our product. You will help drive structured QA processes and plans, validate comprehensive requirements, and help ensure our customers only get the highest quality services.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing on Quality processes such as Acceptance and Regression testing
  • Participating with the team to ensure requirements are complete and testable
  • Ensuring high quality releases through thorough and repeatable manual testing
  • Working in an agile environment, including grooming and estimation
  • Validating completed work and the story level, and release level - you’re the gatekeeper before our code is deployed
  • Assisting in testing and debugging issues across development and production environments
  • Participating in learning from, and teaching of teams as we work together

You'll have:

  • At least 3+ years of testing and supporting a live product
  • At least 1+ years working with structured test plans and processes
  • Ability to investigate and troubleshoot issues, document and prioritize findings
  • Understanding of the layout and importance of development and test environments
  • Understanding of SaaS based products and REST Web Services
  • Knowledge of Web Services testing techniques and tools
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
  • Extensive experience digging through logs and databases for data

  • Experience working for a tech startup
  • Experience with AWS services
  • Experience with webhook and event-based architectures
  • Experience with performance and load testing practices
  • Experience with automation platforms such as JMeter, Selenium, etc
